Radha followed in the footsteps of her elder sister Ambika and joined films. She made her film debut in ‘Alaigal Oyvadhillai.’ Her hero Karthik also made his debut in this film. Hailing from Kerala, Radha’s real name is Udayachandrika. She was named Radha for films by Bharatiraja, the director who introduced her in ‘Alaigal Oyvadhillai.’ Since her debut making film celebrated a silver jubilee, Radha was a much sought after actress. She continued to give super hits in ‘Rajathi Raja’ with Rajini, ‘Kadhal Parisu’ with Kamal, ‘Amman Koyil Kizhakkale’ with Vijayakanth to name a few films with leading heroes. The film that did full justice to her talent is ‘Mudhal Mariyadhai.’ It should be mentioned that when she was playing heroine to Prabhu, at the same time she acted as heroine to his father Sivaji in ‘Mudhal Mariyadhai.’ With her sister Ambika, Radha created the studio ARS Garden. After Radha married her distant relative Mani and settled down in Mumbai, her film career came to an end. Now again acting in Telugu Movie Josh.
